Summary
A shared “meeting code” or link can hand your account to an attacker who then messages your contacts for money.
What is happening
Account-takeover attempts often start with a message from someone you know asking you to share a code or open a link. Once in, the attacker messages your contacts requesting urgent transfers. Enable two-step verification and never share codes.
What to do
Do not share OTPs, PINs, passwords, or screenshots.
Verify requests through official numbers or apps you find yourself.
Report suspicious indicators so they can be reviewed.
